Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality embrases a Smědá River channel together with its beaches. The rocks are represented by porphyric biotite granite, intensively tectonicallly affected. This biotite granite is of so called "Jizera Type". It contains small xenoliths of contactly metamorphosed phylites. In mentioned granite paralelly oriented feldspar crystals are remarkable. This locality belongs to the Krkonoše-Jizera Massif.
